<p>Whilst you can start anywhere in your Body Harmony discovery, this is the basic training that  gives you the tools, empowering you to be all that you can be. This is a tailor made course to what you want to create in your life. Develop skills from the inside out through experiences that support and inform you in life.</p>
<p>The principles of Body Harmony are based in the science of Quantum Physics and Behavioural Science. The technique is a synthesis of touch, awareness explorations, breathwork bodywork and movement. The Art is applying the techniques and principles in a way that addresses the individuality of every person.</p>

<p>BJ Fogg has some great advice about creating new habits</p>
<p><b>Make it tiny</b>— to create a new habit, you must ﬁrst simplify the behaviour, even ridiculous, to make it easy to do—like flossing one tooth</p>
<p><b>Find a Spot</b>— in your routine that it comes after—like brushing your teeth</p>
<p><b>Train the cycle</b>—do it as part of your routine every day, with reminders if need be.</p>

<p><b>Habit of Attraction</b> – Take a moment if you will and breathe into your body. Take your awareness into each different area, your head, your chest, your arms your torso, your legs&#8230; What are you aware of? Do you habitually notice what is painful, or what is easy and moving?</p>

<p><b>Differentiate the qualities </b>– so often we lump pain into a big bundle of its own. Sometimes it can be useful to differentiate the physical sensations of pain.</p>
<p>Eg. Stretching, contracting, compressive, pulling, or the colour or texture of the sensation. This can untangle the sensation and offer another possibility to emerge.</p>
<p><b>Choose your suggestion &#8211; </b>When you notice an area of your body where your breath flows easily, introduce some small undulations into your body. What effect does that have on other areas of your body?</p>
<p><b>Bring it all together &#8211; </b>In our Posture of Pain Class, we explored our awareness of a painful area in conjunction with the sensations of an area that felt easy. What participants found was that the area of ease informed the painful area how to find its own ease and relaxation.</p>
<p><b>Take it home -</b>  a reference point of ease that you can refer to each day and remind yourself by accessing that posture.</p>

<h2>How does your Heart “In-Form” your body and perceptions?</h2>
<p>Have you ever thought that your heart could be “informing”  or giving shape to your Body’s functions?</p>
<p>The heart is the most powerful  generator of rhythmic fields in the body, and as such has a powerful influence on processes throughout the body.  The Institute of Heart Math  research has found that brain rhythms naturally synchronise to the hearts rhythmic activity, and that during sustained feelings of love or appreciation, the blood pressure and respiratory rhythms, among other oscillatory systems, entrain to the heart’s rhythm. Rollin McCraty PhD says that the hearts field acts as a carrier wave for information that provides a global synchronising signal for the entire body. when these waves radiate out from the heart, they interact with organs and other structures, the waves encode or record the features and dynamic activity of these structures. This encoded information acts to “in-form” (literally, give shape to) the activity of all bodily functions.</p>
<p>Did you also know that Heart and Intuition research indicates that the heart and the brain  receive information about an event before it actually happens. Further research suggests that the heart appears to receive this “intuitive” information before the brain.</p>

<h2>What Actions Can I Take for a Happy Heart, Mind, and Body?</h2>

<p><strong>Appreciation</strong> – appreciate  your body’s success. Love and appreciation stimulate the hearts governing ability to calm, and align your body and mind. Breathe appreciation into those forgotten corners, and reactivate your internal pulsations.</p>
<p><strong>Choose your heart entrainment</strong>. What is your heart entrained to? Take some time out in nature and connect. Breathe in the wonder of nature. Share a caring touch with someone you love. Look for opportunities for your heart to entrain to a calm pulsation, rather than frustration, or upset.</p>
<p><strong>The Power of Gratitude</strong> – did you know that when you feel gratitude, your whole brain lights up. Did you also know that when you experience gratitude, you perceive that episode as already happened, – past tense&#8230; So what if you are grateful now, for the wonderful day you are yet to have? Joe Dispensa in the video “Change your Brain” asks a man, who was told 25 years ago, that he had terminal cancer, and had six months to live,— why was he still alive? The mans response “I wake up every day and say Thank you for giving me another day”. Joe Dispensa suggests this man’s gratitude each day programmed him to live that day&#8230; Every day for 25 years.</p>
<h2>The Heart of the Matter -8th &amp; 9th October 2011</h2>
<p>Don and Linda McFarland bring ease, efficiency and enjoyment to whatever class they teach.</p>
<p>In Body Harmony our field of exploration is the relationships between your physiology (your body), your perception, your behaviour and your posture. We then discover how you can realign your intentions with your behaviour, your posture, and your perceptions.</p>
<p>We do this by exploring the relationships within your body as reflected in your posture and movement. Within this course you have the opportunity to redefine the relationship of your heart with the rest of your body, and to experience your body, and your life, in a whole new light.</p>
<p>Research in the new discipline of neurocardiology shows that the heart is a sensory organ and a sophisticated centre for receiving and processing information. The nervous system within the heart (or “heart brain”) enables it to learn, remember, and make functional decisions independent of the brain’s cerebral cortex. Moreover, numerous experiments have demonstrated that the signals the heart continuously sends to the brain influence the function of higher brain centres involved in perception, cognition and emotional processing.</p>
