Our Body’s are always providing us with information that can help us to function more efficiently. We just need to know how to read those signs.
Have you ever noticed when you are sick, or on the brink of getting sick, that your facial colour changes; or the delicate skin around your eyes change colour, or depth, or texture? Maybe you notice lines there that you didn’t remember being there before.
When you learn to notice these changes, and understand that there is a remedy correlated to these changes, then it makes it very easy to prescribe that remedy for great results.
Some examples are:
I was massaging a client, and her knee was very swollen. She had injured it a number of weeks previously, been to the doctor, had it checked, etc. but it was still swollen. I prescribed Nat mur based on a combination of symptoms, facial signs and history. She returned the following week thrilled that the knee felt so much better, and the swelling had completely subsided.
When I first learnt Tissue Salts, one of my children was very willful, and aggravating the other children. On Alex’s recommendation I gave Silica, and suddenly I had a different child. She was suddenly delightful, and good natured, and polite; “Mummy, can I please have…’ where prior to that she was extremely demanding. For another child, we saw skin symptoms steadily disappear, and not return. I frequently use the Biochemic remedies with children. There is easy compliance, they are chewable, and don’t particularly taste of anything.
A Bowen practitioner gave Mag phos to a tennis Player, whose legs kept cramping during his game, so much so, that he thought he was going to have to forfeit his game. He was thrilled when he ended up winning the tournament; the remedy replenishing his magnesium deficiency at the cellular level.

What are Biochemic Remedies
Biochemic remedies, or tissue salts were discovered and developed by Dr. Wilhelm Schuessler, (1822-1893). These remedies are based on the 12 essential mineral salts within our bodies.
Tissue salts work at the biochemic level, stimulating and regulating our use of minerals in the body, at a cellular level. There are a number of indicators for specific tissue salts, ranging from case history information, to facial analysis. For facial analysis it is important to come to your consultation without any makeup, as we look at your skin colours as part of the guideline for prescription.
Alex Sutton teaches Biochemic Remedies in Canberra in May
Alex Sutton is the foremost expert on the works of Dr. Schussler, biochemistry and Biochemic Remedies. He is presenting the new four day workshop:
The Clinical Science of Biochemic Therapy Incorporating Facial Diagnostics Fri 24thto Mond 27th May 2013.
The Course is s a Continuing Education Module for Doctors, Dentists, Chemists, and Veterinary Surgeons.
It qualifies for CPE points with ATMS. It is invaluable for Naturopaths, Homeopaths, Herbalists, Bowen Therapists, Massage Therapists and Bodyworkers, who find the Facial Diagnostics and great adjunct to their practice.
I have seen so often how addressing the mineral deficiencies or imbalances at the cellular level can assist in so many ways. Sleep is easier, food intolerances become less, digestion is easier, skin symptoms ease, muscle aches and pains are relieved… and the list goes on.
